The Naugatuck Housing Authority (NHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from March 15, 2021 until March 19, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to print the online paper application.

Once the application was completed, it must have been postmarked between March 15, 2021 and March 19, 2021 and mailed to the Naugatuck Housing Authority.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $35,950 | 5 Persons $55,450
  • 2 Persons $41,050 | 6 Persons $59,550
  • 3 Persons $46,200 | 7 Persons $63,650
  • 4 Persons $51,300 | 8 Persons $67,750

The Naugatuck Housing Authority (NHA) last accepted Elderly Housing waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom apartments at George B. Lewis Elderly Housing from March 20, 2023, until June 20, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the NHA, applicants "must be age 62 or older to apply."

There were three ways to apply to the opening period:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an application in person at NHA website.
  3. Call NHA to request an application be mailed.

Once the paper application was completed, it was to be: Mailed to the NHA office.

The Naugatuck Housing Authority (NHA) Elderly waiting list for Studio apartments at Robert E. Hutt Congregate is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least April, 2019, until further notice.

Please note: According to the NHA:

"Eligible Applicants: Elderly (62 or older) singles only eligibleDescription: Studio apartment designed for one elderly person.Included in rent are the following:

  • 1 meal per day (served mid-day in dining room, or delivered to your apartment)
  • Light housekeeping services 1x per week (dust, vacuum, wash floors & bathrooms)
  • 24/7 security guard on premises.
  • Utilities: Electric, heat & hot water included. Tenant pays cable, phone, etc."
