The Savin Rock Communities (SRC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Pre-applications were last accepted from November 4, 2019, until November 8, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online pre-application.
  2. Download and print the paper pre-application online.

Once the paper pre-application was completed, it must have been postmarked between November 4, 2019 through November 8, 2019, and mailed to SRC. Pre-applications must have been received by November 22, 2019. Any pre-applications postmarked before November 4, 2019 or after November 8, 2019 were not accepted.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Veteran or Surviving Spouse
  • Employed or Living in West Haven
  • Working
  • Disabled
  • Victim of Domestic Violence referred by partnering agency or requesting emergency transfer
  • Displaced through declared disaster or government action
  • Termination of HCV due to lack of program funding 

1,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

The Savin Rock Communities (SRC) waiting list for Section 8 Project-Based Voucher apartments at 397 Meadowbrook Ct. is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from November 4, 2019, until November 8, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

The Savin Rock Communities (SRC) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Pre-applications were last accepted from November 4, 2019, until November 8, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

According to the SRC, this waiting list is for, "disabled persons under 62 transitioning out of institutions, homeless or at risk of homelessness."

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online pre-application.
  2. Download and print the paper pre-application online.

Once the paper pre-application has been completed, it must be postmarked between November 4, 2019 through November 8, 2019, and mailed to Savin Rock Section 8, P.O. Box 901, Cheshire, CT 06410. Pre-applications must be received by November 22, 2019. Any pre-applications postmarked before November 4, 2019 or after November 8, 2019 will not be accepted.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Veteran or Surviving Spouse
  • Employed or Living in West Haven
  • Working
  • Disabled
