The Housing Authority of Milledgeville (HAM) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The HAM offers two Public Housing communities with 319 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Download the application here: part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, then print and complete.2. Visit the HAM to pick up an application, located at 545 West Martin Luther King Dr., Milledgeville, GA 31061, between the hours of 9:30 am until 3:30 pm.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, between the hours of 9:30 am until 3:30 pm.Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, last years tax return, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The HAM does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: involuntary displaced due to natural disaster, fire, or government action, employed, elderly, disabled, or victim of domestic violence.More information can be found by visiting the HAM website at http://www.mhahomes.org/, or by calling 478-445-2880 during normal office hours.
