This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in DeKalb County, Illinois.
The Housing Authority of the County of DeKalb (HACD) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of April 19, 2024, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in October, 2019.
Please note: According to the HACD, it, "is ONLY accepting applications from applicants that are ELDERLY or DISABLED for its Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists."
This waiting list has the following preferences: Families with children, working, live or work in DeKalb County, IL, rent burdened, continuum of care. Further explanation of each preference can be found here.
