The Housing Authority of the City of Evansville (EHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 26, 2024, until March 28, 2024. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2018.

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

The Housing Authority of the City of Evansville (HACE) is accepting Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from the earliest confirmed open date of July 1, 2022, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Buckner Towers  – located at 717 Cherry Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Offering 0 - 2-Bedroom units.
  • Kennedy Towers – located at 315 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Evansville, IN 47713.  Offering 0 - 2-Bedroom units.
  • Schnute Apartments – located at 1030 Franklin Street, Evansville, IN 47710.  Offering 0 - 2-Bedroom units.
  • White Oak Manor – located at 509 N St. Joe Avenue, Evansville, IN 47712.  Offering 0 - 2-Bedroom units.
  • John Cable/Bellemeade & Line Apartments  – located at 1111 Cherry Street, Evansville, IN 47713.  Offering 0 - 2-Bedroom units.
  • Fulton Square  – located at 1328 Dresden, Evansville, IN 47710. Offering 0 - 4-Bedroom units.
  • John M Caldwell Homes – located at 736 Cross Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Offering 0 - 4-Bedroom units.
  • Evansville Townhomes  – located at 412 SE 10th Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Offering 3-Bedroom units throughout the city of Evansville.
  • Evansville Townhomes ll  – located at 412 SE 10th Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Offering 2 - 4-Bedroom units throughout the city of Evansville.
  • Scattered Sites Housing  – located at 1111 Cherry Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Offering 2 - 3-Bedroom units throughout the city of Evansville.

Please note: According to the HACE application "Applications will be placed on the appropriate bedroom size waiting list based on family composition and date/time of application. There are no longer separate waiting lists for each site. Applicants will have a right to refuse a unit at a site and wait for a different site to become available up to three times. After the third refusal the applicant must reapply to the waiting list."

There are two ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Complete the online application.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Dropped off at any of the property locations listed above.
  2. Mailed to the HACE office, 411 SE 8th Street Evansville, IN, 47713.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
