The Northampton Housing Authority (NHA) Public Housing waiting list is currently open until further notice. Waiting lists for a specific community or bedroom size may be closed.

Please note: The NHA owns 7 public housing sites, including Hampshire Heights and Florence Heights for families and McDonald House, Forsander Apartments, Cahill Apartments, Tobin Manor and Salvo House for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities.

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Complete the application at the McDonald House, located at 49 Old South  Street, Northampton, Massachusetts, 01060, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, ET.
  2. Pick up an application at the McDonald House or NHA offices located at the address above, during office hours.
  3. Call (413) 584-4030 to request an application by mail.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be:

  1. Mailed to the NHA office at 49 Old South Street, Northampton, Massachusetts 01060.
  2. Dropped off at the NHA office at the address above, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, ET.

This waiting list has the following preferences: The Elderly, Persons with Disabilities, Persons Who Live, Work, or Attend School Locally. and Veterans.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
