This waiting list has the following preferences: Veteran; single elderly household; single disabled household; single displaced household; working 20 hours per week; live, work, or hired to work in Winona County; elderly and disabled families at Schaffner Homes and Valley View Tower (if there are no elderly or disabled households, this preference will be given to near-elderly households between the ages of 50 and 62 years old).

350 applicants were placed on this waiting list by the date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.

The Winona Housing and Redevelopment Authority (WHRA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications. Waiting lists for a specific community or bedroom size may be closed.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the WHRA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1756 Kraemer Drive, Suite 100, Winona, MN 55987, during normal office hours.
  2. Read the instructions online here, and click the link at the bottom of the page to download and print the application.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above, or faxed to (507) 454-8173.

This waiting list has the following preference: Veterans.
