This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Haywood and Jackson County, North Carolina.

The Mountains Project Inc is accepting applications for this waiting list from September 6, 2022, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Call (828) 493-4103 or (828) 492-4114 to request an appointment

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Homeless Persons
  • Victims of Domestic Violence
  • Elderly, Disabled, or Handicapped Persons
  • Veterans

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
