The Miami Housing Authority (MHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.Miami, OK is about 90 miles northeast of Tulsa, OK.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the MHA office to pick up a pre-application, located at 205 B Street NE, Miami, Oklahoma 74354, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (918) 542-6691 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of all income.The MHA does not have a preference.Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.The current wait time for a voucher is approximately 8 to 12 months.For more information, call the MHA office at (918) 542-6691 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
