The Meade County Housing and Redevelopment Commission (MCHRC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.Meade County, SD is about 50 miles northeast of Rapid City, SD.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the MCHR to pick up an application, located at 1220 Cedar St. # 113, Sturgis, SD 57785, during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have an application mailed to you by calling (605) 347-3384 during normal office hours.

Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, Social Security cards, proof of all income, bank statements, and photo IDs for all adult household members.For more information, the MCHR can be reached by calling (605) 347-3384 during normal office hours.
