This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in State of Colorado.

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), Division of Housing (DOH) in conjunction with Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications in a limited basis from April 5, 2023 , until April 6, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: The waiting list was only open to applicants who meet DOH’s local preference of: Individuals with a Disability or Families That Include a Person With A Disability

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to print the paper application.

Once the paper application was completed, it must have been either:

  1. Emailed to the DDRC.
  2. Postmarked between April 5, 2023 and April 6, 2023; and mailed to the DDRC.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Individuals with a Disability or Families That Include a Person With A Disability.
  • Families that are experiencing homelessness
  • Families that include victims of domestic violence
  • Non-Elderly Disabled families transitioning from nursing homes and other approved institutional settings into independent, community-based living.
  • Families that are current participants in a DOH housing program (SHV, CoC PSH, CATV, Section 811, Rapid Rehousing).

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
