The Doerun Housing Authority (DHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The DHA Public Housing waiting list is managed by the Moultrie Housing Authority.The DHA offers one Public Housing communities with 44 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the DHA to pick up an application, located at 800 4th Ave. SE, Moultrie, GA 31768, from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm.
  2. Download the application here, then print and complete.
Once the application has been completed, it can be hand delivered to the address listed above, or mailed to PO Box 1058 Moultrie, GA. 31776.Be sure to include these documents with your application: criminal history for every member of the household 18 years and older, social security cards, birth certificates, documentation if adult member is a full time student, proof of all income, receipt from Moultrie Police Deptartment background check (see more information below).It is important to note that the DHA requires applicants to pay $10 for a background check at the Moultrie Police Deptartment, and to bring the receipt as form of proof. To our knowledge, this is not a normal requirement to apply to a waiting list. Most housing authorities do require a background check, but the office pays for it to be done, and this requirement is unique to the DHA.No preferences were noted.More information can be found by visiting the DHA website at http://moultrieha.com/, or by calling (229) 985-4162, from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday, and on Friday from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm.
