Our team got a question from Eve S. this week, who has not yet received any of the government stimulus payments<\/a> that have been sent to qualified Americans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“How can I get the check from the government if I’m living in my car?”<\/p>Eve S.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Even if you don\u2019t have a permanent address, you may still be eligible for the payments. You may also still be eligible even if you have no income, and usually don\u2019t file an income tax return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a Social Security Number and are not claimed by someone else as a dependent on their income tax return, you can register for the money using an online portal on the IRS website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, here\u2019s the strange part. This online portal is called the Child Tax Credit Non-Filer Sign-up Tool<\/em>. However, you don\u2019t have to be a parent to use the Non-Filer portal to sign up and get your money<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is what you need:<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
