HUD and the Biden-Harris Administration remain committed to strengthening relations with Tribal nations to ensure that all communities are securing the opportunity of a healthy home and community.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a title=\"Indian Community Development Block Grant-American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ICDBGARP) Round Four Awards\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/sites\/dfiles\/PA\/documents\/ICDBG_ARP_Round_4_Awards.pdf\">A list of grant recipients was provided by HUD here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds come from the Indian Community Development Block Grant-American Rescue Plan (ICDBG-ARP), and is the fourth round of such funding to assist Tribal communities. A total of $280 ICDBG-ARP awards have been spread across 240 Tribes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a title=\"HUD Announces Nearly $70 million To Deliver Equitable COVID-19 Relief To 29 Tribal Communities\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/press\/press_releases_media_advisories\/HUD_No_22_039\">More information about this award can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"homeless\">7,000 local homeless programs receive $2.6B in awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Date Posted: March 14, 2022<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 7,000 locally-operated housing and service programs for the homeless have been awarded a total of $2.6 billion in Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to HUD, these awards \u201cwill provide funding to communities to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing with access to supportive services, with the overarching goal of long-term stability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HUD Secretary Marcia L. Fudge said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cThese Continuum of Care program grants, coupled with the historic resources in the American Rescue Plan, will deliver communities the resources needed to ensure that every person in a respective community has the equitable opportunity to a safe and stable home.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><a title=\"HUD Announces $2.6 Billion In Awards To Help People Experiencing Homelessness\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hud.gov\/press\/press_releases_media_advisories\/HUD_No_22_040\">More information about these CoC awards can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bipartisan\">Secretary Fudge makes statement on bipartisan spending agreement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Date Posted: March 15, 2022<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HUD Secretary Marcia L. Fudge has released a statement in response to <a title=\"HUD\u2019s FY 22 funding will add 25,000 new Section 8 vouchers\" href=\"https:\/\/affordablehousingonline.com\/blog\/huds-fy-22-funding-will-add-25000-new-section-8-vouchers\/\">President Biden signing the bipartisan spending agreement last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secretary Fudge said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cThe bipartisan spending agreement increases HUD funding, providing our department with robust resources to advance key housing and community development priorities for America\u2019s families and communities\u2026Having a safe, affordable home is foundational to life, and the agreement will expand opportunity for households through homeownership and rental assistance, while supporting strong, healthy, and economically vibrant communities.<\/p><p>I applaud President Biden for his leadership in securing this agreement.
