The Manchester Housing Authority (MHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for five days in November, 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Download and print the application online.          
  2. Pick up an application at the MHA office.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must have been:

  1. Mailed to the MHA office.
  2. Dropped off at the MHA office.

There were no preferences.

400 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.

Open Until Further Notice: Manchester Housing Authority Senior and Disabled Public Housing Waiting List

The Manchester Housing Authority (MHA) waiting list for Elderly (62+)/Disabled Public Housing apartments is currently open.

The MHA is accepting applications for this waiting list from November 1, 2021 at 8:00 am ET, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Pick up a paper application at the MHA office, located at 24 Bluefield Drive, Manchester, CT 06040.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Dropped off to the MHA office, either in person or in the drop box at the address above.
  2. Mailed to the MHA office at the address above.
  3. Faxed to the MHA office. A fax number is not available on the public notice, or the MHA website.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery.

Please note: According to the MHA, this waiting list is for applicants who are "62+ Frail Elderly."

The MHA is accepting applications for this waiting list from November 1, 2021, until further notice.
