The DuPage Housing Authority (DHA) last accepted Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for apartments at Arbor Place of Lisle, Marian Park, Mayslake Village, Naperville Elderly Homes, and Woodridge Horizons Apartments from March 6, 2024, until April 3, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: This waiting list was for the following properties:

  • Arbor Place of Lisle
  • Marian Park Apartments
  • Mayslake Village Apartments
  • Naperville Elderly Homes Apartments
  • Woodridge Horizons

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Category One: Residency Preference:
    • Full-time Resident of any municipality or township within the DHA service area of DuPage County; or
    • One or more adults in the household is employed at least 30 hours per week within the DHA service area of DuPage County; or if one or more adults in the household is a participant for at least 30 hours per week within the DHA service area of DuPage County in an accredited employment training program designed to prepare individuals for the job market.
  • Category Two: Family Preference:
    • At least one household member is a minor child under 18 years old; or  
    • The head of household or spouse is at least 62 years of age or older; or
    • At least one household member is disabled.
  • Category Three: Veteran Preference:
    • The applicant head of household is a military veteran who separated from the service with any classification except dishonorable.
  • Category Four: Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking Preference: 
    • Determined to be a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking as described and prescribed under the Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA), and
    • Applicant submits required documentation to qualify for the preference
  • Category Five: Family Self-sufficiency (FSS) / HUD Demonstration Program Preference:
    • Enrolled in the HUD Family Self-sufficiency Program (FSS); or
    • Enrolled in any other HUD Demonstration Program. Demonstration Programs are HUD sponsored programs that after a determination of good cause and subject to statutory limitations, have been given authority to grant waivers to regulations that govern those programs
  • Category Six: Involuntary Displacement Preference:
    • A government action or a state or federally declared natural disaster involuntarily displaced you from a domicile in the DHA service area of DuPage County.
  • Category Seven: Homeless Preference.

A total of 300 applicants were placed on each waiting list, by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

300 applicants were placed on the Arbor Place of Lisle 1 and 2-Bedroom waiting list.

300 applicants were placed on the Marian Park Studio, 1 and 2-Bedroom waiting list.

300 applicants were placed on the Mayslake Village, 1-Bedroom waiting list.
