This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Victim of physical violence; Victim of hate crime; Victim of natural disaster; Involuntarily displaced; Working.

Open Until Further Notice: Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency (DMMHA) is accepting Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from December 7, 2020 at 8:00 am, until further notice.

Please note: This waiting list is only open for the mainstream preference.

To apply during the opening period, Contact the Centralized Intake at Primary Health Care, located at 1200 University Ave. #110A, Des Moines, IA 50314, or HUD Funded Permanent Supportive Housing or Rapid Rehousing provider for more information on how to apply.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Be a non-elderly person (under the age of 62) with a disability and;
  • Previously experienced homelessness and;
  • Be a current client in a HUD funded permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing program.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
