The Battle Creek Housing Commission (BKHC) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Battle Creek from April 1, 2024, until April 5, 2024. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2023.

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

500 selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the application online. Select the "Application Form" link.     
  2. Pick up an application at the BCHC office located at 250 Champion Street, Battle Creek, Michigan 49037, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm ET.

Once the paper application is completed, it must be either:

  1. Mailed to the BCHC office address above.
  2. Dropped off at the BCHC office located at the above address during office hours.
