The SHA offers two public housing communities with 202 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.

To apply for public housing, you must visit the housing authority to pick up an application, located at 1 E Independence St., Shamokin, PA, during normal office hours.

Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above. Be sure to bring these original documents with you when handing in your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, verification of assets, copies of bank statements, and photo IDs for all adult household members. All adult household members must be present when handing in the application.
