The Newport News Redevelopment & Housng Authority (NNRHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. There is no notice of when the waiting list will reopen. 

When the waiting list reopens, the NNRHA will put an advertisement in the Daily Press local section of and on its website.

The Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NNRHA) last accepted Public Housing waiting applications for 1, 2, 3 and 4-Bedroom apartments at Aqueduct, Marshall Courts, Pinecroft and Ashe Manor Apartments for one day only on December 21, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list was for the following properties:

  • Aqueduct Apartments - located in Newport News, Virginia.
  • Marshall Courts - located in Newport News, Virginia.
  • Pinecroft Apartments - located in Newport News, Virginia.
  • Ashe Manor Apartments - located in Newport News, Virginia.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

Income limit information could be found here.

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

  • Live or work in Newport News.
  • Involuntary displaced
  • Substandard housing
  • Rent Burden
  • Veteran or spouse of a veteran
  • Mainstream Voucher

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
