The Sault Ste. Marie Housing Commission (SSMHC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The SSMHC offers two Public Housing communities with 263 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply, pick up a pre-application at the SSMHC, located at 608 Pine Street, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783, from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm EDT, Monday-Friday.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with your application: Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The SSMHC does not have a preference.
