This week, we have added 4 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 502 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 9 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are opening soon:
Mesa, Arizona
The City of Mesa Housing Authority (CMHA) Section 8 Waiting List is opening soon, from December 6, 2016 at 10:00 am, until December 19, 2016 at 5:00 pm MT. This waiting list was originally scheduled to open in October, but the CMHA pushed the opening until December. The application will be available online. There are four preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the pre-application is received, after sorting preferences. Read more on how to apply on our CMHA information page here.
Harris County, Texas
The Harris County Housing Authority (HCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is opening soon, from October 31, 2016 at 9:00 am, until November 2, 2016 at 5:00 pm CT. Applications will be available online. There are three preferences. 5,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Colusa, Nevada, Sutter, and Yuba County, California
The Regional Housing Authority of Sutter and Nevada Counties (RHASNC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from October 19, 2016 at 12:00 am, until November 2, 2016 at 11:59 pm PT. Applications will be available online and by phone. There are four preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, after sorting preferences.
