This week, we have added 19 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 515 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 10 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are opening soon:
Providence, Rhode Island
The Providence Housing Authority (PHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from November 11, 2016 until November 16, 2016. Applications will be available online. Preferences have not yet been confirmed. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery. Read more on how to apply on our PHA information page.
Multi-County, Maryland
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (MDHCD): Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists are opening soon, from November 10, 2016 at 12:00 pm, until November 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm ET. Applications will be available online. There are an unconfirmed number of preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Fannin County, Texas
The Texoma Council of Governments (TCOG): Fannin County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from November 14, 2016 at 8:30 am, until November 16, 2016 at 4:00 pm CT. Applications will be available in person. There are no preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received. Claiborne, Robertson, and White County, Tennessee
The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA): Claiborne, Robertson, and White County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists are opening soon, from November 1, 2016 at 6:00 am, until November 2, 2016 at 11:59 pm CT. Applications will be available online. There are four preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, after sorting preferences. Muscatine County, Iowa
The Muscatine Municipal Housing Agency (MMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, on November 1, 2016 at 8:00 am CT. This waiting list will be open indefinitely. Applications will be available online and in person. There are eight preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, after sorting preferences. Read more on how to apply on our MMHA information page.
