This week, we have added 3 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 513 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 7 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are currently open and opening soon:
Ulster County, New York
The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO): Ulster County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from October 31, 2016 until December 14, 2016 at 4:00 or 4:30 pm ET. Applications are available online. Preferences have not yet been confirmed. 1,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery. RUPCO is managed by New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR). Read more on how to apply on our NYSHCR page.
Multi-City, Rhode Island
The Rhode Island Housing (RIH) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from November 11, 2016 at 12:01 am, until November 16, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. Applications will be available online. This waiting list has preferences, but they have not yet been confirmed. 5,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences.
