This week, we have added 6 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 508 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 6 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are open now and opening soon:
Stephenson County, Illinois
The Winnebago County Housing Authority (WCHA): Stephenson County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from February 22, 2017 at 8:00 am, until February 26, 2017 at 11:59 pm CT. Applications will be available online. Preferences have not yet been confirmed. 300 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery. Tarrant County, Texas
The Tarrant County Housing Assistance Office (TCHAO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from March 14, 2017 at 12:00 pm, until March 16, 2017 at 11:59 pm CT. Applications will be available online. There are three preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, after sorting preferences. Dickenson, Gratiot, and Menominee County, Michigan
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA): Dickenson, Gratiot, and Menominee County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from March 20, 2017 at 8:00 am, until June 23, 2017 at 5:00 pm ET. Read more on how to apply on our MSHDA information page here.
