This week, we have added 6 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 486 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 10 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are open now or opening soon:
El Paso, Texas: The Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from February 22, 2016 at 8:00 am, until March 23, 2016 at 12:00 am MT. Pre-applications are available online only. There are no preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of pre-application submission. New Orleans, Louisiana: The Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from February 29, 2016 at 8:00 am, until March 4, 2016 at 5:00 pm CT. Pre-applications will be available online only. No preferences have been identified. It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Essex County, New Jersey: The State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs: Division of Housing and Community Resources (DHCR): Essex County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from March 7, 2016 at 9:00 am, until March 9, 2016 at 5:00 pm ET. Pre-applications will be available online only. Two preferences have been identified. 600 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Boulder, Colorado: The Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon on a limited basis, from March 22, 2016 at 9:00 am, until March 24, 2016 at 4:00 pm MT. Pre-applications will be available online only. Six preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: The Harrisburg Housing Authority (HHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from February 29, 2016 at 9:00 am, until March 2, 2016 at 4:30 pm ET. Pre-applications will be available online only. No preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery. Bristol, Rhode Island: The Bristol Housing Authority (BHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon for one day only, on March 1, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am ET. Pre-applications will be available in person. No more information has been provided about this opening.
