This week, we have added 5 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 496 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 7 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are open now or opening soon:
San Francisco, California: The San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) is currently accepting Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list pre-applications, from May 3, 2016 at 12:01 am, until May 18, 2016 at 11:59 pm PT. Applications are available online. Nine preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Muskegon County, Michigan: The Muskegon Housing Commission (MHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon for application distribution for one day only, on May 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm ET. The MHC Section 8 HCV waiting list then opens for application submission for one day only, on May 18, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Applications will be available in person. Three preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of application submission, after sorting preferences. Sarpy County, Nebraska: The Bellevue Housing Authority (BHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon for one day only, on June 2, 2016 at 9:00 am CT. Applications will be available by calling to schedule an appointment. Six preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the completed application is returned, including the required documents, after sorting preferences.
