This week, we have added 4 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 499 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 11 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are open now and opening soon:
Pittsfield, Massachusetts: The Pittsfield Housing Authority (PHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open on a limited basis, from June 1, 2016 at 9:00 am, until June 30, 2016 at 4:00 pm ET. Applications are available by contacting the PHA office. There is one preference. It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list. State of New Jersey: The State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs: Division of Housing and Community Resources (DCA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for all counties is opening soon, from June 13, 2016 at 9:00 am, until June 17, 2016 at 5:00 pm ET. Applications will be available online. There is one preference. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Alameda, California: The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (HACA) will soon accept Section 8 Project-Based Voucher, HOME, and Independence Plaza applications for families and senior/disabled households, from June 22, 2016 at 10:00 am, until June 27, 2016 at 9:59 am PT. Applications will be available online. There are seven preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Bedford County, Tennessee: The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA): Bedford County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from June 6, 2016 at 6:00 am, until June 7, 2016 at 11:59 pm CT. Applications will be available online. No preferences have been identified. It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
