This week, we have added 7 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 498 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 9 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are currently open and opening soon:
Lake County, Ohio: The Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open from July 25, 2016 until July 27, 2016. Applications are available online and in person. There are eight preferences. 7500 applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Read more on how to apply on our LMHA information page here.
Multi-County, Kentucky: The Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from July 25, 2016 at 9:00 am, until July 29, 2016 at 5:00 pm ET. Applications are available online. No preferences have been identified, and we have reached out to the housing authority for confirmation. It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Read more on how to apply and what counties are covered on our KHC information page here.
Lake County, California: The Lake County Housing Commission (LCHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list opened on June 6, 2016, and is open indefinitely. The LCHC did not provide any further information about this opening. Read more on how to apply on our LCHC information page here.
Arlington, Texas: The Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from August 9, 2016 at 9:00 am, until August 16, 2016 at 9:00 am CT. Applications will be available online. There are five preferences. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. Fort Lauderdale, Florida: The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale (HACFL) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from August 8, 2016 at 12:01 am, until August 12, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. Applications will be available online. No preferences have been identified, and we have reached out to the housing authority for confirmation. Kaua’i County, Hawaii: The Kaua’i County Housing Agency (KCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from August 1, 2016 at 12:00 pm, until August 12, 2016 at 4:30 pm HT. Applications will be available online and in person. No preferences have been identified, and we have reached out to the housing authority for confirmation. Hidalgo County, Texas: The Hidalgo County Housing Authority (HCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, on August 3, 2016 at 8:00 am CT. Applications will be available in person. There is one preference. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, after sorting preferences.
