This week, we have added 20 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. With 4 waiting lists closing since last week, we are now aware of 396 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 9 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the Section 8 waiting lists that are opening soon, now open, or closed since last week:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from September 2, 2015 at 8:00 am, until September 15, 2015 at 11:59 pm ET. Pre-applications will be available online only. No preferences have been identified. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be place on the waiting list by random lottery. Saint Paul, Minnesota: The Saint Paul Public Housing Agency (SPPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from September 9, 2015 at 8:00 am, until September 15, 2015 at 4:30 pm CT. Pre-applications will be available online only in 60 different languages. One preference has been identified. The SPPHA will place 3,500 applicants on the waiting list by random lottery. Multi-County, New Mexico: The Eastern Regional Housing Authority (ERHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from August 31, 2015 at 9:00 am MT, until September 14, 2015. Pre-applications will be available at the ERHA office, by mail and by fax. No preferences have been identified. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the pre-application is received. Multi-County, Mississippi: The Mississippi Regional Housing Authority VI (MRHA VI) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher waiting lists are currently open, from August 24, 2015 at 12:01 am, until August 26, 2015 at 11:59 pm CT. Pre-applications are available online only. No preferences have been identified. There is no known limit of how many applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Pinellas County, Florida: The Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) Section 8 Project-Based Voucher and Public Housing waiting lists are currently open, from August 24, 2015 at 9:00 am until August 28, 2015 at 4:00 pm ET.. Pre-applications are available at the corresponding apartment complex, the PCHA central office, and online. Four preferences have been identified. San Luis Obispo County, California: The Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo (HASLO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from August 21, 2015 at 9:00 am, until September 10, 2015 at 5:00 pm PT. Pre-applications are available online only. No preferences have been identified. The HASLO will place 500 qualified applicants on the waiting list by random lottery. Little Rock, Arizona: The Metropolitan Housing Alliance (MHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opened on August 26, 2015 at 10:00 am CT, and closed at 12:30 pm the same day. Although the MHA stated the waiting list was going to be open indefinitely, the office closed the waiting list after a large volume of pre-application submission. Pre-applications were available online only. Three preferences were identified. There is no set limit on how many qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. For more information, please visit our MHA information page.
Enfield, Connecticut: The Enfield Housing Authority (EHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opened on August 19, 2015, and closed at on August 21, 2015. Pre-applications were available online and at the EHA office. No preferences were identified. The EHA will place 250 qualified applicants on the waiting list by random lottery.
