This week, we have added 3 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. With 3 waiting list closing since last week, we are now aware of 438 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 4 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are new scheduled waiting lists that are closing soon since last week:
Los Angeles County, California: The Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles (HACLA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications from August 20, 2015 at 12:00 am, until December 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm PT. The original closing date was June 30, 2016, but the date was changed because more persons applied than expected. Pre-applications are available online, in person and by phone. There is one preference for select communities. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Mecosta County, Michigan: The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA): Mecosta County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from October 19, 2015 at 8:00 am, until December 21, 2015 at 5:00 pm ET. Pre-applications are available online only. There is one preference. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of the pre-application submission.
