This week, we have added 1 new waiting list to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. With 3 waiting list closing since last week, we are now aware of 437 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 4 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are new scheduled waiting lists that are opening soon since last week:
Poughkeepsie, New York: The City of Poughkeepsie Office of Section 8 Housing (CPOS8H) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon, from December 14, 2015 at 9:00 am, until February 26, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET. Pre-applications will be available online only. There is one preference. It is not known how qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Honolulu County, Hawaii: Although the Hawaii Public Housing Authority office confirmed with us that this waiting list would open by the end of November, there has since not been any public notice about the opening. We have contacted the HPHA office, and will update this page when more information becomes available. For more information, please visit our HPHA information page.
Newark, Delaware: The Newark Housing Authority (NHA) family Public Housing waiting list for 3 and 4 bedroom units is opening soon, from December 15, 2015 at 9:00 am, until December 16, 2015 at 3:00 pm ET. Pre-applications will be available by phone and at the NHA office. No preferences were identified. It is not known how qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
