This week, we have added 3 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. We are now aware of 489 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 4 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the new scheduled waiting lists that are open now or opening soon:
Independence, Missouri: The Housing Authority of the City of Independence (HACI) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from December 21, 2015, until March 14, 2016 at 4:00 pm CT. Pre-applications are available online. No preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of pre-application submission. Multi-County, North Carolina: The Western Piedmont Council of Governments Regional Housing Authority (WPCOG/RHA), which covers the Counties of Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba, NC, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon for pre-application distribution, on April 5, 2016 at 8:15 am ET. The waiting list is opening soon for mail submission from April 15, 2016, until April 19, 2016; and for in person submission from April 19, 2016 at 8:15 am, until April 21, 2016 at 5:00 pm. Pre-applications will be available in person. Two preferences have been identified. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time of pre-application submission, after sorting preferences. For more information, please visit our WPCOG/RHA information page.
