This week, we have added 10 new waiting lists to our open Section 8 waiting lists page. With 1 waiting list closing since last week, we are now aware of 408 open Section 8 waiting lists, and 9 waiting lists that are opening soon. Here are the Section 8 waiting lists that are opening soon, now open, or closed since last week:

North Chicago, Illinois: The Housing Authority of the City of North Chicago (HACNC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon for one day only, on September 11, 2015 at 10:00 am CT. Once 400 pre-applicants have been accepted, the waiting list will close. Pre-applications will be available online only. Five preferences have been identified. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list. For more information, please visit our HACNC information page.

Multi-County, Tennessee: The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Lauderdale County Section 8 HCV waiting list is opening soon, from September 11, 2015 at 6:00 am, until September 12, 2015 at 11:59 pm CT; the Henderson County Section 8 HCV waiting list is opening soon, from September 18, 2015 at 6:00 am, until September 19, 2015 at 11:59 pm CT; and the Lincoln County Section 8 HCV waiting list is opening soon, from October 1, 2015 at 6:00 am, until October 5, 2015 at 11:59 pm CT. Pre-applications for all openings will be available online only. Denver, Colorado: The Denver Housing Authority (DHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher lottery is opening soon, from September 24, 2015 at 12:01 am, until September 25, 2015 at 11:59 pm MT. Pre-applications will be available online only. No preferences have been identified. There is no known limit of how many qualified applicants will be given a lottery number. Saint Paul, Minnesota: The Saint Paul Public Housing Agency (SPPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from September 9, 2015 at 8:00 am, until September 15, 2015 at 4:30 pm CT. Pre-applications are available online only. One preference has been identified. The SPPHA will place 3,500 qualified applicants on the waiting list by random lottery. Multi-County, South Carolina: The South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 1 (SCRHA1) Saluda County Section 8 HCV waiting list opened on September 2, 2015 at 9:00 am ET, and closed at 1:00 pm the same day. Pre-applications were available at the American Legion Building. The South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 1 (SCRHA1) Abbeville County Section 8 HCV waiting list opened on September 9, 2015 at 9:00 am, and closed at 1:00 pm the same day. Pre-applications were available at the City of Abbeville Civic Center. Two preferences were identified for each opening. Lexington, Kentucky: The Lexington Housing Authority (LHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opened on August 31, 2015 at 12:00 am ET, and closed on September 4, 2015 at 11:59 pm. Pre-applications were available online only. Five preferences were identified. The LHA will place 1,000 qualified applicants on the waiting list by random lottery, after sorting preferences. For more information, please visit our LHA information page.
