COVID-19 Notice
Due to concerns of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, some waiting list openings may be postponed until further notice, or submission instructions may be adjusted. The Affordable Housing Online team is closely monitoring waiting lists that are open now and opening soon, and will make updates to our website accordingly. The waiting lists below are confirmed openings.
Visit the housing authority’s website for the latest on its current operations, if one is available. If there is no information online, contact the housing authority directly. Due to a high volume of calls and modified office hours in most areas, expect a long wait time (days or weeks) for a response.

COVID-19 Rental Assistance Programs
To help renters who are struggling to pay rent during the coronavirus pandemic, several cities, counties, and states have created emergency rental assistance programs for their residents with CARES Act funds. The application period for some local programs has already closed, but many are currently open. The link below has up to date information on every city, county, and state program that has been discovered.

Cuyahoga County, OH Section 8 HCV Waiting List
Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from November 9, 2020, until further notice. Learn How To Apply.
Columbia County, PA Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Columbia County Housing Authority (CCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications are being accepted since at least July, 2020, until further notice. Learn How To Apply.
Oahu, HI Limited Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications are being accepted on a limited basis from October 29, 2020 at 8:00 am, until November 2, 2020 at 4:30 pm HT. According to HPHA, “To qualify, an applicant must: Be housed under a current, valid lease agreement [and] Have a landlord who has agreed to participate in the HCV program, including meeting all HCV criteria for unit inspection, providing valid tax identification information, and complying with program requirements.” Learn How To Apply.
Cincinnati and Hamilton County, OH Mainstream Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from October 28, 2020, until further notice. Learn How To Apply.
Ventura County Area, CA Limited Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted on a limited basis from November 3, 2020 at 8:00 am, until November 16, 2020 at 4:00 pm PT. According to the AHA, this waiting list is for “very low income households meeting the AHA residency preference (live, work or hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction) The AHA serves the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Applications from those living and working outside the AHA’s jurisdiction will not be processed.” Learn How To Apply.
Lafayette, LA Public Housing Waiting List
The Lafayette Housing Authority (LHA) Public Housing waiting list applications for Efficiency and 1-Bedroom apartments will be accepted from November 18, 2020 at 8:00 am, until November 20, 2020 and 4:30 pm CT. Learn How To Apply.
