New Waiting List Announcements
Milwaukee, WI Section 8 HCV, PBV, and Public Housing Waiting Lists
The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Section 8 Project-Based Voucher, and Public Housing waiting list applications from December 15, 2021 at 9:00 am CT, until further notice.
Current Section 8 HCV Openings
These waiting list openings were recently announced; and are still open for applications, or are opening soon!
Pikes Peak Region, CO Section 8 HCV Waiting List
Cheyenne Village will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from December 14, 2021 until December 16, 2021.
San Joaquin County, CA Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin (HACSJ) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Other Program waiting list applications from December 10, 2021 at 8:00 am, until December 24, 2021 at 5:00 pm PT.
West Palm Beach, FL Mainstream Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the County of SThe West Palm Beach Housing Authority (WPBHA) will accept Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher will accept applications from November 29, 2021 until December 17, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET. According to the WPBHA, “Mainstream Vouchers serve households that include a non-elderly person(s) with disabilities. A non-elderly disabled person is defined as a person with disabilities who is at least 18 years of age and not yet 62 years old.”
Multi-County, TX Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Deep East Texas Regional Housing Authority (DETCOG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from November 1, 2021 at 8:00 am, until December 31, 2021 at 11:59 pm CT.
More Housing Opportunities
If there are no Section 8 HCV openings in your area, there are more waiting lists that are open now or opening soon in other areas. You can apply to open waiting lists in different areas of the country.
There are also many other opportunities available for low-income housing. Apartment properties operated by housing authorities and private management companies have income-based or affordable monthly rent rates. If there are no open waiting lists in your area, there may be open waiting lists in nearby cities and counties.
Applying for affordable housing can be difficult at times. It is important to be familiar with the requirements and qualifications before applying. Knowing these policies helps make these programs easier to understand.
