Many waiting lists have different requirements on how to apply. And sometimes, it can be hard to find all the important details. AHO gathers all of this information to save renters time in their housing search.

Note: Applicants do not need to live in the area to apply to most waiting lists. Once a waiting list closes, it may stay closed for many years.
New Section 8 Announcements
Columbus, Georgia Section 8 Waitlist Opens Soon
The Housing Authority of Columbus Georgia (HACG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from February 14, 2023, until 1,500 applications are received.

Anderson, South Carolina Section 8 Waitlist Opens In March
The Housing Authority of the City of Anderson (AHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on March 22, 2023 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am ET.

The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from February 13, 2023, until February 15, 2023.

Boulder County, Colorado Waitlist Opens Soon
Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from February 28, 2023, until March 1, 2023.
Note: This is separate from the Boulder County Housing Authority waitlist that opens on February 8th.

Stark County, Ohio Waitlist Opens In March
The Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 1, 2023, until March 15, 2023.

St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana Waitlist Closes Today
The St. John the Baptist Parish Housing Authority (SJBPHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waitlist applications from February 6, 2023, until February 13, 2023.

Butte and Glenn County, California Waitlist Closes Today
The Housing Authority of the County of Butte (HACB) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from January 30, 2023 at 9:00 am, until February 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm PT.

Multi-County, Maryland Waitlist Opens Through February
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (MDHCD) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from February 1, 2023 at 9:00 am, until February 28, 2023 at 5:00 pm ET.
