There are four (4) major waiting lists for low-income housing that open across the country next week! Preparing early for an upcoming opening helps you be ready to apply when the waiting list opens, which may help you get housing over others.
Tip: Applicants do not need to live in the area to apply to most waiting lists.
Get ready to apply to the major housing waiting lists that are opening between April 29 and May 3, 2024:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Project Based Voucher Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) will accept Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1-3 Bedroom Apartments for Multiple Properties from April 29, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 10, 2024 at 3:00 pm ET.
There are no new waiting list openings next Tuesday.
Citrus County, Florida Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Citrus County Housing Services Division (HSD) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from May 1, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2021.
Kern County, California Project Based Voucher Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the County of Kern (HACK) will accept Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from May 1, 2024 at 10:00 am until May 30, 2024 5:00 pm PT.
There are no new waiting list openings next Thursday.
West Orange, New Jersey Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The West Orange Public Housing Agency (WOPHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 3, 2024 at 8:30 am ET, until 300 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2016.
