Every week, Affordable Housing Online announces the latest Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list openings for renters in search of low-income housing assistance in the U.S.
Many waiting lists have different requirements on how to apply. And sometimes, it can be hard to find all the important details. AHO gathers all of this information to save renters time in their housing search.
There are three (3) new Section 8 waiting list openings announced this week by AHO! Similar to last week, these waitlists are all in different states in various areas of the country.

Note: Applicants do not need to live in the area to apply to most waiting lists. Once a waiting list closes, it may stay closed for many years.

Freeport, New York Section 8 Waitlist Opens Today
The Freeport Housing Authority will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 3, until April 14, 2023.

The Rock Island Housing Authority will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on April 10, 2023.
