Grand County Housing Authority

The Grand County Housing Authority (GCHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 24, 2023, until May 26, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Print the paper application.
2. Pick up an application in person at GCHA office.
3. Call GCHA to request an application.

Once the paper application was completed, it was either;

1. Hand delivered to the GCHA office.
2. Emailed to GCHA.
3. Faxed to GCHA.
4. Postmarked and mailed to the GCHA office.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Families that are experiencing homelessness
• Families that include a person with a disability
• Families that include victims of domestic violence
• Non-elderly disabled families transitioning from nursing homes and other approved institutional settings into independent community based living.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.

The Black Bear Apartments waiting list was open for applications from February 1, 2025, to February 15, 2025. Applications were accepted online and in person.
