The Newark Housing Authority (NHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for one day in January 2017. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen. 

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to call the NHA office.

Public Housing Waiting List: Closed

The Newark Housing Authority (NHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for elderly (62+) households. The family Public Housing waiting list is currently closed.

There are two ways to apply to the elderly waiting list:

  1. Call the NHA at (302) 366-0826, Ext. 2 to submit am application by phone
  2. Visit the NHA at 313 E Main Street Newark, DE 19711 to submit a pre-application in person.
The following documentation is required of all members of the household: Date of birth, Social Security Number, gross income.
