This waiting list is for Public Housing rental housing assistance in Harlem, Georgia.

The Harlem Housing Authority Public Housing waiting list for 3 and 5-Bedroom apartments is closed

The HHA last accepted applications for this waiting list every Wednesday from May 11, 2022 until July 20, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was returned to the Harlem Housing Authority.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • An applicant who is a veteran with an adult family member enrolled in an employment training program, currently working twenty-five (25) hours a week, or attending school on a full-time basis. For applicants who are currently working, employment shall have been held for at least the past six (6) months. This preference is also extended equally to all elderly families and all families whose head or spouse is receiving income based on their inability to work.

B. Displaced person(s): Persons who qualify under VAWA, and individuals or families displaced by government action including persons residing in units declared uninhabitable via local code enforcement action or whose dwelling has been extensively damaged or destroyed as a result of a disaster declared or otherwise formally recognized pursuant to Federal Disaster Laws.
  • All other applicants who also hold a veteran status.
  • All other applicants.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.

This waiting list is for Public Housing rental housing assistance in Harlem, Georgia.

The Harlem Housing Authority (HHA) is accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for 4-Bedroom apartments every Wednesday from May 11, 2022 until further notice. 

To apply during the opening period, print the paper application available here.

Once the application has been completed, it must be returned to the Harlem Housing Authority, located at 140 E Milledgeville Rd, Harlem, GA 30814, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm ET.
