The Interlocal Community Action Program, Inc (ICAP) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Fayette and Rush County from June 1, 2023 at 8:00 am, until June 30, 2023 at 5:00 pm ET.

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application that will be available at the following:

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Residency
    • Applicant is a legal resident of, has been hired to work in, or currently works within the COUNTY they have applied to.
  • Person residing in an institutional setting or at risk of being placed in an institutional setting.
  • Working Families
  • Elderly
  • Non-elderly Family Member with Disability
  • Youth Exiting Foster Care
  • Child Welfare Involved Families

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.

Interlocal Community Action Program Inc serves Hancock County, Henry County, Madison County, Rush County and Wayne County on behalf of Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.

Closed: Madison County, Indiana Section 8 HCV

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) Madison County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day on September 16, 2019; or until 100 applications were received. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the IHCDA, "These vouchers cannot be used inside the city limits of Anderson or Elwood."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the application in person at the Anderson Public Library Delaware room.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Person residing in institutional setting (nursing facility, long-term rehabilitation center, or other institution).
  • Residency or employment in the State of Indiana.
  • Homelessness or at risk of homelessness due to domestic violence.
  • Working families (persons either going to school or working at least 20 hours per week).
  • Elderly status (age 62 and older).
  • Non-elderly disabled status (61 and under with disability).
  • Having a disabled family member (any age).
  • Person at risk of residing in an institutional setting (nursing facility, long-term rehabilitation center, or other institution).

100 applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.

The Interlocal Community Action Program Inc (ICAP) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Hancock County is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day on November 6, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete an application at Well Spring.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
