The Sterling Housing Authority (SHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The SHA offers one Public Housing community with 45 units for families and senior/disabled individuals, ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the SHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 220 N 3rd St., Sterling, KS 67579, during normal office hours.Once the pre-application has been completed, you must attend the interview that the SHA scheduled for you when the pre-application was picked up.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, birth certificates, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The SHA does not have a preference.Qualified applicants will be placed by the date and time the pre-application has been received.For more information, the SHA can be reached by calling (620) 278-2640 during normal office hours.
