The Bogalusa Housing Authority (BHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The BHA offers three Public Housing communities with 340 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the BHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 1000 Union Avenue, Bogalusa, LA 70427, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for everyone in the household, photo IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, and a food stamp print out (if applicable).The BHA does have a preference for: Applicants that live and/or work in Bogalusa, elderly, disabled, enrolled in an employment training program, attending school full time, or employed at least 30 hours per week.For more information, visit the BHA website, or call the office at (985) 735-6533 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
