The Malden Housing Authority (MHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The family public housing waiting list is currently closed.The MHA offers eight public housing communities with 577 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are three ways to apply:1. Visit the MHA to pick up an application, located at 630 Salem St., Malden, MA during normal office hours.2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 781-388-6091 during normal office hours.3. Download an application here, then print and complete.Once an application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of any preferences being claimed.The MHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live and/or work in Malden, or veteran.More information can be found by visiting the MHA website at http://www.maldenhousing.org, or by calling 781-322-2517 during normal office hours.
