The Mower County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (MCHRA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The MCHRA offers one Public Housing community with 28 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms.To apply, visit the MCHRA to pick up a pre-application, located at 59039 220th St., Austin, MN 55912, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.If the applicant is elderly or disabled, they can call the MCHRA at (507) 434-5556 to have a pre-application mailed to them.Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, proof of all income, photo IDs for all adult household members, and birth certificates.The MCHRA does have a preference for: Elderly or disabled applicants.For more information, call the MCHRA office at (507) 434-5556, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
