This waiting list has the following preferences:
- Family of two persons
- Age 50+ or disabled
- Live, work, hired to work, or attend K-12 school in St. Louis Park, MN
- Veteran, widow or widower of veteran
1,500 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

The St. Louis Park Housing Authority (SLPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for three days in March 2017. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

According to the SLPHA, "The housing authority will award up to 50% of waiting list placements to applicants who live, work or attend school full-time in St. Louis Park. The remaining waiting list placements will be awarded to other applicants."
