The Housing Authority of the City of Raton (HACR) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.

The HACR offers one Public Housing community with 156 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studio's to 4 bedrooms.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the HACR to pick up a pre-application, located at 309 Parsons Ave., Raton, NM 87740, during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (575) 445-8021 during normal office hours.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.

Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, proof of all income, birth certificates.

The HACR does not have a preference.

Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the pre-application is received.
