The Ellenville Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled individuals.

This housing authority offers one senior/disabled community, and one family community and both are located in Ellenville.

To apply for public housing, you must stop by the office to pick up an application, located at 10 Eastwood Dr., Ellenville, NY 12428, during normal office hours, Monday-Friday.

Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the office at the address listed above. Be sure to include these original documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.

This housing authority does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: living and/or working in Ellenville, senior, disabled, homeless, or substandard living conditions.

2% of households were headed by a person 24 years old or less, 46% were headed by a person 25 to 49 years old, 23% were headed by a person 51 to 60 years old, and 29% were headed by a person 62 years old or older. In addition, 2% of households were headed by a person 85 years old or older.

46% of households included children, 10% of which had two adults in the household. 44% of households with children have a female head of household. 85% of all households were headed by a female.

59% of all voucher households were headed by minorities with 19% of all heads of households being Black and -1% being Hispanic.

Of all households participating in the Ellenville Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher program, 28% include at least one person with a disability. 44% of households with a head of household 61 years or less were headed by a person with a disability. 70% of households headed by someone 62 or older were headed by a person with a disability.
